About me

Hello and welcome to Wine & Cork!

Ok, let's say it, I am completely obsessed with wine. (And my dogs too). When my husband and I moved from Germany back to the US, my biggest concern with our shipment, was whether or not our 120 + bottles of wines I had acquired over our two years in Germany, were going to arrive safely in Virginia (well, they all did, thank you for wondering). *Update: after a whopping 10 months in Virginia, we are now in Nebraska...sigh... (this move has put me very, very, very from France, my home country, and in one of the most landlocked places I have ever seen...)*

I started collecting wine labels about 7 years ago with the intention to create a "wall of labels" for my "future" wine cellar, in my "future" villa in the South of France. Grand dream, yes, but it shall happen :) In the meanwhile, I wanted to share some of the beautiful artwork found on so many wine labels.  Here you will find images of actual wine labels, all available for free download.

I hope you enjoy checking out all of the wine labels I will be blogging about and that you will be able to use these labels in some very clever ways. Feel free to e-mail me photos of your coolest projects.  I will also try and be creative myself and post some ideas for projects using wine labels, cork, or anything else wine related!

If you'd like to use the photos on this site, all I ask is that you link the photos you will be borrowing back to http://www.wineandcork.blogspot.com.  Thank you! :)

On a side note, if you like traveling and travel photography, please check out my other website, www.belleimage.webs.com. You will find travel tips for many countries all over Europe based on my personal experience.

A bientot!

Stéphanie

  5. Hello Stephanie, interesting blog you have :) I am from Georgia, not the state, but republic, which is meant to be the first place where wine making was born some 8 000 years ago... The method of wine making is also ancient and very special (and still in use), it is called QVEVRI wine making, which was listed in UNESCO world's intangible cultural heritage recently, and we, all Georgians are very proud of it... It might interest you as a wine lover and if google it you'll find out many amazing things, wines and facts about our country... :) From the Citizen of the cradle of wine :)

    1. Hello, and thank you so much for your comment. I have always wanted to visit Georgia but have not had the opportunity yet, hopefully one day when we move back to Europe for good. Thank you for the tidbit of historical info as well, how interesting! Definitely something your country should be proud of! :) I will look up more info on that wine making process you talk about, it sounds fascinating! Take care :)
